How We Work

Patients to know they are the ripples of change and their voice matters.

Here at Cure AVN we respect and can lead innovation and has a voice at the table of putting powerful ideas into action… because our effort began with one patient who said no to status quo and is turning a devastating diagnosis into a elite scientific endeavors and novel protocols

INVESTIGATE

explore, and hunt for revolutionary therapies and technologies based in an evolving understanding of:

  • Stem cells
  • Tissue engineering
  • Growth factors
  • New surgical techniques
  • Adjunctive wound and tissue healing technologies
  • Post-operative protocols
  • Detection modalities

SHINE

A spotlight on the importance of angiogenic, chondrogenic, osteogenic,

INCUBATE

and develop the best technologies of what we discover into integrated comprehensive clinically targeted treatment solutions

    EMPOWER

patients and doctors alike with knowledge, inspiration, and tools to connect the dots and become participants in changing the system towards a revolutionary regenerative model of care

      BUILD

powerful collaborations and connections — connecting thought leaders across institutions, platforms, and disciplines, breaking boundaries in our current way of developing ideas

        FOCUS

AVN for entrepreneurs and researchers and help generate support for research geared towards the improved understanding and treatment of AVN

          BRAINSTORM

          approaches that don’t even exist

          ADVOCATE

for change and adoption of novel therapies we develop or envision

          UNITE

those wiling to fight for a day when AVN and related conditions no longer steal life, opportunities, mobility, and hope.

          Traditional Thinking:

AVN: An isolating debilitating condition that has baffled doctors and the best minds for decades

          Cure AVN Thinking:

AVN: A platform invigorating, focusing, and connecting scientists, innovators, and patients turned patient advocates who are determined to envision “another way” to bone repair

          Traditional Thinking

AVN: A crippling isolating silent killer of bone that has no remedy, answer, or cure

          Thinking of Cure AVN

AVN: Demonstrating how Science and determined patient advocates and innovators can be brought together through the urgency to solve a rare disease that affects the few, and through such create a solution for the many.

          Thinking Cure AVN

AVN: A wake-up call inspiring us to dream into a new frontier and act on that vision.
AVN is the scientific key to multi-tissue joint regeneration — requiring a multi-disciplinary engagement of Ortho-biology, chemistry, endocrinology… an understanding of how vascular tissue (endothelial layers), bone tissue (osteoblastic and osteoclastic cells, bone minerals, and progenitor proteins), and chondrgenic tissue (cartilage building cells, proteins, and matrices) interconnect in a hyper-intelligent and constantly dynamic tissue.

Bone is not hard. It is internally in motion and constantly in flux. It responds to the body’s intelligence and changing forces and needs. Communicates with itself and adapts to chemistry and load. Something a metal or ceramic implant can never do or understand.

Most people forget that bone, like all tissue, depends on an intricate tree-like blood supply carrying the ongoing flow of cells and signals that allow constant turnover.

AVN shows us the pathway to better understanding…

Because in order to address AVN, you must address the blood supply and remember to think of the living breathing components of bone repair, instead of thinking of it like carpentry.

If you are an advocate who wants to work with us, let us know.

Our goal is to help researchers, entrepreneurs, and institutions work in a way that allows for the focus application of research towards a targeted clinical solution and outcome.

We find ways to bridge the gap between research and novel protocols by using work we do to open educate clinicians and open up dialogue that advances regenerative surgical approaches

Some areas we invite exploration for:

          Cell-based therapies
          Biologic adjuncts
          Growth factors for angiogenesis
          Protein and peptide therapies
3D printing of sophisticated bone grafts
          Bio-reactor bone augmentation
          Minimally invasive surgical implantation devices
          Improved angiography tissue imaging
